Singhal Foundation

Singhal Foundation (a registered Trust) was established by the three sons of Late Shri PP Singhal to continue the charitable works initiated by him during his lifetime. Singhal Foundation has been promoting good and deserving causes by funding needy students, schools, sports & sports persons, schools for the physically challenged and a variety of other social and developmental causes.

Sh Ashokji Singhal was the younger brother of Sh PP Singhal and he inspired the entire Singhal family towards Ved seva. Ashokji was an ardent supporter of Vedic studies. He wanted everyone to realise the power, the teachings, the wisdom and the benefits of the Vedas and the role they can play in our every day lives.

Through the Singhal Foundation, we seek to continue our commitment to Ved seva. While there are a number of charities supporting Vedic education and rewarding Veda scholars at regional or local levels, there is no award at the national level. Therefore the Singhal Foundation decided to institute the annual “Bharatatma Ashokji Singhal Vedic Awards” as the first National Level Awards in Vedic education. These awards would, both, showcase excellence in Vedic education at a National Level and of perpetuate the name of Shri Ashokji Singhal.

The Foundation will annually give three awards as under:

• The ideal Vedic Teacher
• Excellent Veda Student
• The best Vedic School

We hope that these awards will encourage more and more schools, teachers and students to take up the study of the Vedas and propagate them for the good of society.
